Evenlo vs Splitwise vs Tricount

Comparison checked September 2026

Splitwise and Tricount are the two best-known bill splitting apps. Splitwise’s free plan now limits how many expenses you can add each day and shows ads, with the rest behind Splitwise Pro. Tricount is free, but it’s owned by the bank bunq, and features like statistics, saved splits and exports went when its Premium plan was retired. Here’s how Evenlo compares with both.

Bring your Splitwise history with you

Evenlo reads Splitwise’s own export, so you don’t start from zero:

  1. On splitwise.com, open the group, click the ⚙️ and choose Export as spreadsheet.
  2. In Evenlo, create the group, then tap ⇅ Import & export and choose that file.
  3. Check who’s who and the balances Evenlo shows. They should match Splitwise. Then tap Import.

Every expense comes across with who paid and each person’s share, payments come across as payments, and nobody gets a notification for each old expense. Importing is free.
